Fortune has not abandoned me; it has simply stopped entertaining my illusions. When doors closed, it wasn’t betrayal—it was redirection, saving me from paths that would have shrunk who I am becoming. Every delay, every “no,” every loss I thought was proof that fate was against me was actually fortune doing silent quality control on my life. My ally is not the lottery ticket or the miracle event; it’s the way chances appear when I’m prepared, the people I meet when I dare to move, the strange timing that only makes sense in hindsight. To treat fortune as my ally is to walk as if the world is rigged in favor of my growth, not my comfort—to assume that even setbacks carry gifts, and that as long as I keep showing up, luck is not something I wait for, it’s something I cooperate with.
