Shooting Stars (Estrellas Fugaces) — What’s being fixed and what’s next

The Shooting Stars module is where Laniakea folds real-world mobility and logistics directly into the app: you pick origin/destination on a live map, get a route and an estimate, then tap ORDENAR to request the service. Today that spans personal transport and freight-style options across land, air, and maritime vehicles.
Below is a broad look at the upcoming bug fixes and the new capabilities we’re preparing—so requesting taxi rides, freight pickups, and even international shipments feels fast, predictable, and trustworthy.
Quality & reliability upgrades (bug fixes)
1) Route & pricing accuracy
Fixes for map-matching so pickup pins snap more reliably to valid roads and addresses.
More consistent fare/quote estimates when you edit the route mid-request (e.g., moving the drop-off).
Better currency and unit normalization (km/mi, kg/lb) to prevent mismatched totals at checkout.
2) “Order” (ORDENAR) flow hardening
Eliminates double-submit issues from rapid taps.
Clearer validation on required fields (vehicle type, passengers, notes) so requests don’t fail silently.
Fewer timeouts during driver/fleet assignment and more transparent fallback messaging.
3) Addressing & search
Stronger autocomplete for neighborhoods and landmarks; improved diacritics/locale handling.
Smarter fallback when a coordinate is valid but postal data is incomplete—so you can still confirm the trip.
4) Tracking & notifications
Smoother live-location refresh and less “jumping” of the vehicle marker.
Delivery milestones and status badges now sync without gaps across phone restarts or flaky connectivity.
5) Receipts & records
Unified receipt format for both personal rides and freight orders, with consistent taxes, line items, and notes.
Corrected rounding on taxes/fees so totals match the quoted price and ledger exports.
What you’ll be able to request
Taxi & private rides
Quick, point-to-point travel using the same map interface: enter origin/destination, review the route and estimate, then confirm. Vehicle options adapt to party size and context (from moto to van).
Freight & local logistics
Book a freight ride for bulky items, store pickups, or B2B deliveries. Freight-style categories appear alongside personal transport to cover these scenarios within one flow.
International freight (air & sea)
Request quotes for cross-border shipments through air and maritime categories. You’ll be able to generate global freight itineraries from the same interface. Rollout and availability will be regional and carrier-dependent.
Experience improvements you’ll notice
One map, many modes. Stay in a single, consistent interface for taxi, local freight, and international quotes—choose the mode, confirm the path, and submit.
Fewer surprises. Estimates reflect route edits in real time; taxes/fees are clearer in the confirmation sheet, and receipts match what you saw before booking.
Better messaging. When assignment takes longer (e.g., for special equipment or customs-sensitive loads), the app explains next steps instead of timing out.
Smoother tracking. Live vehicle/parcel position and milestone updates are steadier, even on spotty networks—so pickup and delivery windows feel credible.
Unified support. Reference ride IDs or freight order IDs from the same “Your Orders” area to chat with support or share status with recipients.
Why this matters
Shooting Stars is a multi-modal layer atop Laniakea’s social-commerce core—so moving people or goods is as native as posting, buying, or selling. The upcoming fixes focus on the fundamentals (addressing, pricing, order flow, tracking) that make mobility and logistics feel reliable, whether you’re catching a ride across town or shipping a pallet overseas.
